Connect Ohio, Connecting Appalachia to collaborate to maximize stimulus funding for Jackson County

JACKSON, OH – After a meeting last week with representatives from Congressman Zack Space’s (OH-18) office, Governor Strickland’s Connect Ohio initiative will collaborate with the Connecting Appalachia Broadband Plan Space announced last month to maximize federal stimulus dollars for projects in 32 Appalachian counties in Southern and Eastern Ohio.

A partnership between Gov. Ted Strickland’s Connect Ohio initiative and the member companies of the Ohio Telecom Association provided 400 new computers to more than 40 community-based organizations serving Ohio students on Monday.
